Raipur to Chitrakote

Ride deep into the tribal heartland of India on this 3-day journey from Raipur to Bastar. Conquer the winding Keshkal Ghat (expect ongoing bypass construction with potential diversions and a 10-15km section with potholes) and cruise through dense Sal forests on NH30. Be aware of nightmarish road conditions through Kanger. Before reaching the majestic Chitrakote Falls, the "Niagara of India." Note: An under-construction, manageable road now connects Chitrakote Falls directly to NH30 at Bhanpuri, offering an alternative return route to Raipur without necessarily returning to Jagdalpur. Be aware that national highway tolls have increased and now strictly require cashless payment (FASTag/UPI). Vehicles without a functional FASTag will incur a 25% higher toll fee if paying via UPI, or double the standard toll fee if paying in cash.
