Drive down the scenic Konkan coast from Mumbai to Malvan, exploring the pristine beaches of Ratnagiri and the historic Sindhudurg sea fort. This 4-day road trip blends the experience of the NH66 highway, which is currently undergoing significant widening and construction. While major sections are nearing completion, significant work continues in several areas (especially between Panvel and Indapur, and around Mangaon, Chiplun, and Lanja). Full seamless connectivity, particularly for the Mangaon and Indapur bypasses, is now expected by March 2027. Expect ongoing diversions and potential traffic, especially around Chiplun and Lanja, where flyover construction is still in progress with bad service road conditions. Note that the Atal Setu (Mumbai Trans Harbour Link) has a toll of ₹250 for cars. Experience authentic Malvani seafood, scuba diving in Tarkarli, and mesmerizing sunsets away from the city crowds. Be aware that Malvan itself has very narrow roads and can experience significant traffic.

Depart early to escape city traffic. Take the Eastern Freeway/Atal Setu towards Panvel to join NH66.
