Day 1: Leh → Hanle

Show permits at the checkpoint. Continue straight along the Indus River towards Chumathang (NH3).

Stop at a local dhaba. Visit the boiling hot sulphur springs by the riverbank.

Critical junction. Show permits again. Do not photograph the bridge (military zone).

Reach Korzok village. Visit the monastery and walk to the lake shore. Stay in a tent/guesthouse.
