The Nagaland government has advised commuters to/from Mokokchung to take alternate routes such as Tuensang-Yangli-Suruhoto-Longsa or Tuensang-Longleng-Changtongya-Mokokchung. Movement of heavy vehicles is restricted. Travelers should check local conditions for the most current information.
Head to Mopungchuket village. It is known as one of the cleanest villages. Have a picnic lunch at the community park.
Return to town and catch the sunset at the local park. The view of the town lights coming on in the hills is romantic.
