Dhankar Monastery is generally accessible. Road conditions in Spiti Valley remain challenging with rough patches, loose gravel, and slush. While the monsoon is now tapering, lingering showers and elevated landslide risks persist in early September, with a fresh spell of rain likely from around September 11-17, particularly on approach roads to Spiti. This motorbike loop from Kaza is feasible, but it is crucial to check official and local road status updates daily, carry extra supplies, and build in buffer days due to unpredictable conditions. The Dhankar Cliff Fort and Dhankar Lake Trek might still have limited accessibility due to prevailing conditions and potential localized issues.
