A 365 km bike trip from Delhi to Shimla in two days. Day one runs up NH44 past the Murthal dhabas and Karnal, then climbs NH5 from Parwanoo through Solan. Day two is for Shimla itself: Jakhoo Temple, the Ridge, Mall Road, the Viceregal Lodge and Lakkar Bazaar. Central Shimla's sealed roads are closed to private vehicles, so plan your parking. Best from March to June and September to November, with fuel at about ₹1,100.

Leave before sunrise to clear Delhi traffic and head north on NH44 (GT Karnal Road). Fuel up before leaving the city.
